OK – lets take a slight detour from all the first aid stories. I’m sure some of you are grossed out the pictures – sorry but not sorry. An accident is going to happen so it’s better that you see and understand what you might be up against so you can act appropriately for your pet.
Today is National Siamese Cat Day. I have had the pleasure of cat sitting many of these beautiful creatures. They are certainly a breed of their own.
The Siamese Cat is generally VERY talkative and interactive. Do not consider one if you work long hours and just want a lap cat. These feline friends will follow you around the house and give you a piece of their mind about whatever you’re doing. They do enjoy a good snuggle on the couch but that’s only after they have received plenty of mental or physical stimulation. Consider 2 to keep each other company if you will be out of the house most of the day.
These kitties are agile, very smart and love to play. Interactive toys like puzzle toys or food dispensing toys are highly recommended to keep them active and stimulated. If these busybody kitties aren’t properly stimulated – they might wreak havoc on your home. They will pine for you while you are gone and pout if not paid attention too and their pouting is LOUD.
In general, Siamese cats are fun, interactive and great company. They can be trained to whatever degree you choose but be careful – they might just have something to say about it.
