Please Do Not Smoke Around Your Pets
I honestly wouldn’t think this post would be needed, it seems so obvious, but so does not leaving your dog or child in a car on a hot day. I still regularly see people driving around with dogs in their car while they are smoking!
When you smoke in your house the issues are bigger than just breathing it in, your car is even worse.
FDA veterinarian Carmela Stamper said ,“like children, dogs and cats spend a lot of time on or near the floor, where tobacco smoke residue concentrates in house dust, carpets and rugs,” Stamper added. “Then, it gets on their fur. Dogs, cats and children not only breathe these harmful substances in, but pets can also ingest them by licking their owner’s hair, skin and clothes.”
Quit Smoking NOW!
Each year that passes we lose another off our life and everyone knows smoking does not help the duration of your life. With pet’s lives being already so incredibly short, don’t make it worse by exposing them to these carcinogenic chemicals.
Find something else to do other than smoke! Our friend Jack, from the Super Bowl Commercial with Tom Brady has a better idea for you.
Oh and for those of you that switched to vape or e-cigs – no, those are still harmful for your pets especially with the high risk of ingestion. Just. Don’t.
